Nigel Pedersen – President, IIABC 2025

Nigel Pedersen, the 2026 President of the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC), is a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) specializing in Agriculture Sprinkler systems. As a key professional at Southern Irrigation, Nigel applies his extensive expertise to develop innovative and effective irrigation solutions. His dedication to IIABC and the broader industry highlights his commitment to fostering excellence and advancing best practices in irrigation.



Whalen Bishop – President-Elect, IIABC

Whalen Bishop, the 2026 President-Elect of the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC), brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to the organization. With a Bachelor of Arts degree and certifications including CID, CIS, CIT, and ARCSA credentials, Whalen’s contributions to the industry are extensive. A past IIABC President (2020–2021), he was honored with the Dave’s Peach Award in 2023 for his outstanding service. Whalen is also a key team member at University Sprinklers, where he continues to demonstrate his passion for advancing irrigation excellence.



Bob Markwart – Past President, IIABC 2026

Bob Markwart, the 2026 Past-President of the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC), holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and is a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) specializing in Residential Irrigation. With a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to the industry, Bob is currently with ProSource Supply. Having previously served as IIABC President in 2015, he brings proven leadership and a dedication to advancing the professionalism and growth of the irrigation sector.



David E. Peter – Director (1-Year), IIABC 2026

David E. Peter, a 1-Year Director at the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC), brings extensive expertise to the board. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) in Agriculture - Trickle, Turf Commercial, Turf Residential, as well as Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) Level 1, CIT Agriculture, CIT Level 2 Landscape, and Certified Irrigation Scheduler (CIS). David is a valued professional at DNA Irrigation Design and Consulting, where he contributes to advancing innovative and sustainable irrigation solutions.



Matthew Dyck – Director (1-Year), IIABC 2026

Matthew Dyck joins the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC) Board as a newly appointed 2-Year Director for 2025. He holds certifications as a Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) Level 1, Level 2, and CIT Agriculture. Matthew works with Main Stream Irrigation, where he brings his expertise and dedication to supporting efficient and forward-thinking irrigation practices.

Clifford H. Lieuwen – Treasurer, IIABC 2026

Cliff Lieuwen, Treasurer of the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC), holds multiple certifications, including Certified Irrigation Designer (CID), Certified Irrigation Scheduler (CIS), and Certified Irrigation Technician Level 2 (CIT2). As a key professional at ACME Irrigation Services Ltd., Cliff applies his extensive expertise to advance irrigation practices. Beyond his financial oversight as Treasurer, he serves on the IIABC Certification Board, playing a vital role in upholding and enhancing industry standards.
