The IIABC office will be closed from December 22, 2023, to January 05, 2024, for the Christmas and New Year break. We will not be available to answer calls or emails during this time.

Certified Irrigation Contractor Program APPLICATIONS


Certified Irrigation Contractor Program 2021 RENEWALS 

Renewal forms will be emailed each year to those eligible.

Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC) and Certified Irrigation Contractor Gold Seal (CIC-GS) status is available to IIABC member companies upon obtaining the credentials established by the IIABC. There are two designations, Turf-Residential and Turf-Commercial.

The requirements for each are as follows:


CERTIFIED IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR (CIC) - TURF / RESIDENTIAL requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience installing turf  irrigation systems
  • Have a CID Turf/Residential Designer outsourced, primary and secondary for 2017 (for regular CIC Status)
  • Have a CID Turf/Residential Designer ON STAFF (for Gold Seal Status) 
  • Have a CIT-Level 1 person employed
  • Have an employee who has completed the IIABC Contractor Business Course & Exam
  • Have a Business License for current year
  • Have a minimum  of one (1) Million Dollar Liability Insurance coverage for current year

 

CERTIFIED IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR (CIC) - TURF / COMMERCIAL requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years experience installing turf irrigation systems
  • Have a CID Turf/Commercial Designer is outsourced, primary and secondary  for 2017 (for regular CIC stauts)
  • Have a CID Turf/Commercial Designer ON STAFF (for Gold Seal status)
  • Have a CIT-Level 2 person employed
  • Have an employee who has completed the IIABC Contractor Business Course & Exam
  • Have a Business License for current year
  • Have  a minimum of two (2) Million Dollar Liability Insurance  coverage
  • Have an employee with a Certified Cross-Connection Control Tester certification
  • Have an employee with FSR Class LO –Low Energy Systems


Cost: There is currently no Certification annual fees to remain certified. However, companies or individuals must be an active IIABC Member in good standing to keep their IIABC Certification.
